Lithium prices fell hard. Lithium carbonate lost RMB 7,000/t in one day. Industrial grade is now RMB 105,000/t (–6.25%) and battery grade RMB 108,000/t (–6.09%). Both are RMB 14,000/t lower than on 8 October. Lithium fluoride fell RMB 5,000/t on the day (–12,000 vs 8 Oct) and LiPF6 is RMB 3,000/t lower at 117,000. The reasons: weak futures, negative talk about demand, and progress on mine restarts in Jiangxi.
